Why am I running as a Libertarian? This is the most often question asked since I filed. For starters, the Libertarian Party is the only party that gives me the most latitude when is comes to addressing the issues. Also, at heart, I am a libertarian. I believe large centralized governments are prone to corruption, incompetence and tyranny. I believe the “spirit of the times” demands a third party presence. Over the past 20 years the Republican and Democratic parties have become more and more entrenched in their ideologies. Approaching issues with pragmatism has been replaced with an emotional approach to issues. As a Libertarian, I will have more leeway to approach issues in a pragmatic way. There are Democrats and Republicans whom have great ideas. However, they are beholden too much to their party allegiances. I believe I can work as an arbitrator with the two major parties.
